Personal
This traditional ornament workshop "Wameling" exists since more than 120 years.
Complex ornaments and banners were already manufactured at that time.
The workshop belonged to the family Wameling until end of 1987 and I took it over at the beginning of 1988.
A little bit more about me:
- Elke Temme-Bunse, born Temme
- born on the 21st of June 1964 in Paderborn
- 1981-1984 apprentice for ornament embroidery
- 1984 national champion of performance contest for young hand workers
- 1984-1985 embroiderer assistant
- 1986-1987 preparation of master exam and manager of a small tailor workshop
- September 1987 master exam in ornament embroidery handwork
- 01.01.1988 take over from the shop "Wameling Paramente"
- today I am a master of embroidery and the mother of three children
I have the support, since a long time, of my colleague Mrs. Dorothea Hafke. Since May 2000 she is as well a master of handwork in ornaments' embroidery; just like other qualified embroiders and tailors.
We regularly teach embroidery handwork. Thereby our trainees pass their final exam with above average notes. I received several prices for these excellent performances from the president of the handwork and confederation of skilled craft establishment in handwork.
In 2008, we went to exhibit as well at the Mass Fairs “ecclesia“ in Köln and “Gloria” in Dornbirn/ Austria, with great success. We would like to thank all our customers and visitors for that active interest they shown in our ornaments.
We will exhibit at the fair "Koinè 2009" (International church furnishings, construction and liturgical exhibition) in Vicenza/Italy from the 18th to the 21st of April 2009.
